Destination: Wisconsin Dells

For the third year in a row, we have taken the kids to Wisconsin Dells, in central Wisconsin. We have more fun each year that we go!
We have stayed at two properties, the first being the Skyline Hotel and Suites. This hotel is right across the street from the big Trojan horse go kart track (formerly Big Chief's.) There is an indoor pool area which is great for little kids. The toddler pool has a sea serpent (aka: water slides) slithering through the pool. There are also a few outdoor pools as well. The hotel provides a nice continental breakfast each morning. The best thing about this place is the price! You get a great location and a nice stay for a fair price.
The second property we have been to and the one we keep returning to is the Treasure Island Water and Theme Park/Mt. Olympus. This place has EVERYTHING and it is ALL included with the price of your room. There are indoor pools, outdoor pools, waterslides, go-kart tracks, bumper boats, amusement park rides, mini golf, etc, etc, etc. At first the room rates seem a little steep (we paid $155/night and were there at a non-peak time) but when you figure that entrance into their water park can run you $32 per person each day, the room price doesn't look so bad. The Treasure Island also owns the property next door called Pleasant View. It is an older motel property, but again, all of your activities are included in the room price. The Pleasant View is perfect for those on a tighter budget.
Be sure to ride the Duck Boats! We have been on the Original Wisconsin Duck Boats and the Wisconsin Army Boats. Both offer a great time. We also visit the Wisconsin Deer Park every year. This is a zoo/park that has deer just roaming freely (watch where you step!) The deer come right up to you and let you feed and pet them. This is always one of our favorite places. Along with the deer, there are also many other animals to look at and feed.
