Riu Santa Fe Mexico 2010

Riu Santa Fe

Our family spent a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Riu Santa Fe resort. We chose this resort for the fantastic pool! The waters along Cabo’s shores are usually too rough to swim in, so we knew swimming in the ocean wouldn’t be a big part of this trip. This is why we looked for a resort with a great pool scene, instead. We found it! We absolutely loved the pool at the Riu Santa Fe. There were plenty of nooks to enjoy, a huge swim up bar, and pool chairs everywhere you looked both in the sun and shade.

We had 2 rooms, which gave us some extra space. They originally put us in building 7, which is closest to the ocean. This is considered an upgrade. However, since we knew we would be at the pool, we asked to be moved back to building 3 which was perfect for us. The walk from the lobby to the room we had in building 7 took a long time! I certainly didn’t want to be that far out from things. I’ve never turned down an upgrade before! Ha!

There were always things to do, day and night. We watched the evening shows, which were fun. We did one tour while in Cabo, and it was AWESOME! We rented dune buggies and went 4 wheeling through the desert and sand. I highly recommend this tour for everyone! We still talk about the dune buggies.

We toured the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, which is right next door. The rooms are bigger, the food is better, but you also pay more. Nice place, though!

We had a great time in Cabo!
